Google has rewarded over $15 million to bounty hunters, while Facebook has paid out over $7.5 million. Microsoft? $2 million so far. Such bug bounty rewards have been life-changing. And now, Telegram is offering exceptional rewards.
Today, Telegram announced a coding competition for all the blockchain developers.
As mentioned in the announcement, the competition begins on September 25th and ends on October 15th. Within these 20 days, you can do the following:
- Build at least one of the smart contracts using the tools provided in the TON blockchain distribution (Github)
- Implement scripts (usually in Fift) that enable user to create, configure, and control certain instances of the contract.
- Ensure the quality of the code is readable and accurate (for a better score).
- Test the TON Testnet. Find issues and loopholes.
If you manage to find any exploits, up to $200,000 will be distributed. For every smart contract developer participating, and submitting details, a portion from the other $200,000 will be distributed.
In total, the rewards will go up to $400,000.
As mentioned in the competition details, one cannot implement Denial of Service (DoS/DDoS), brute force, or any social engineering attacks to claim rewards. Telegram will only consider vulnerabilities in and around security.
