Funding in crypto tokens is emerging as the new norm among blockchain and crypto startups. A few days ago Coinbase announced a new fund for crypto startups that provides funding in USDC stablecoin. Now æternity Ventures, the venture funding arm of æternity Blockchain, has announced an accelerator event in Malta that will fund promising blockchain startups in AE tokens.
Yep. The announcement of accelerator came only few hours back on company’s Twitter handle, and they’re calling it Starfleet accelerator. The third edition of this accelerator starts on 4th of November in Malta, and the deadline to apply for it ends on 20th of October.
Projects that apply must be built on æternity blockchain, and they should be at the seed stage of funding. Full requirements can be seen here on the website of accelerator.
Details For Blockchain Startups
The selected startups will get funding up to $100,000.
æternity Ventures will also provide them an educational program of 60 hrs, 4 weeks of online mentoring, access to the global network of æternity’s partners and investors, marketing support, and 6-month guidance to keep the project on track.
The schedule of accelerator is as follows:
- 20 October: End of application deadline
- 4-10 November: Genesis week (the period of pitching your blockchain startup)
- 10 November: Selection of startups
- 11 November – 7 December: Acceleration period
- 8 December: Demo day
- Sometime between 8 December – 31 December: Investment
- January – June: Execution of projects
That is the æternity Starfleet accelerator program. Like Coinbase USDC Fund, the goal of program is to boost the adoption and usage of blockchain.
