A is for Altcoins, B is for Bitcoin: A Book for Kids Teaching Alphabets Using Crypto

A is for Apple, B is for Ball is now boring. We’ve been hearing it since ages. Times are changing, and so should the way of teaching. Recently an author from Toronto, who also appears to be a crypto trader, did something really fun.

He made an entire new crypto-themed way of teaching the vocabulary to kids, which is now available as a $23 book on Amazon. Sounds interesting, doesn’t it?

The book is called ‘B is for Bitcoin’. If you’re a crypto investor, you may want your kids to know about crypto early on in their lives. And Graeme Moore, the author of this book, wants your kids to know about it from their early school days.

Practicality and purpose of introducing kids to crypto at such a tender age may be debated. But one can’t deny that this is a unique idea to incite their interest in learning alphabets.

According to an interview given to Forbes, Moore wrote this book for his niece, who was one and a half years old at the time of writing it. He said:

“I was thinking, what would I want to read to her? I don’t want to talk about apples and boats and all of that kind of stuff. I want to talk about Bitcoin to my 2-year-old niece who is about to learn how to talk. And that’s how she’s going to learn the alphabet: A is for Altcoin, B is for Bitcoin, C is for Consensus, and D is for Decentralize.”

Now, these words may not be easy for a kid to comprehend, but Moore believes that it’s important to introduce kids to this new world of cryptocurrencies as early as possible.

Recalling his own childhood, the 27 years old author reveals that when he was a child it was the time of Dotcom bubble. Those were fantastic times for people to capitalize on the opportunities presented by the Internet, and some of them actually did so. But Moore couldn’t as he was too young to understand what was going on. He doesn’t want the same to happen with other kids who are now growing up in the age of blockchain and crypto.

So if you want your kids to grow up while learning about blockchain and cryptocurrencies, this book can serve as a good starting point.
